Confidentiality of Participant Information

As an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, we take efforts to keep your personal information private and secure.

In the event of a data breach, affected persons will be informed via email.

All students who register for a course, whether live or asynchronous, consent to the collection and storage of their personal information for a minimum of five years. This information includes, but is not limited to, first and last name, phone number, email address, mailing address, license number(s), and payment information. This information is collected for the purpose of delivering goods and services to registrants and will not be sold. This information will not be shared with third parties, with the exception of CE approval/accreditation bodies.

Registrant data collected by Nour Counseling & Consulting, PLLC is accessed and stored through Thinkific, a Learning Management System. Thinkific is a cloud-based platform that was built on the fundamental principles of security and privacy. The physical infrastructure is hosted and managed by Amazon’s secure data centers. Visit this page to learn more about the measures Thinkific takes to secure the data of its users. If, despite the efforts of Nour Counseling and Thinkific, there is a breach of confidentiality, affected persons will be informed via email.

During live courses, participants are welcome to keep their camera and microphone off. Published recordings of live courses will not contain participant names or videos but may contain a participant’s voice or words entered in the chat, unless the participant communicates their desire to not be published.

For asynchronous or home-study courses, refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

If a live course is canceled, all registrants will be refunded. If a live course is rescheduled, all registrants will be informed via email and may request a refund. In the event that an asynchronous course is deactivated and unavailable, registered students who have not completed the course may request and be granted a refund.

All refunds are issued using the registrant’s original form of payment.

Course Completion Requirements

To earn CE hours, students must attend the entire course – whether live or asynchronous.

If it is a live (or realtime) course, students will be prompted to complete a course evaluation at the end of the meeting.

If the course is in the asynchronous (or home-study) format, students must earn a passing score of 80% or above on the course assessment. Students will have an unlimited number of attempts to take the assessment. After completing the assessment, students will be prompted to complete the course evaluation.

Within 24 hours of submitting the course evaluation, students will receive a certificate of completion in their account. Students will also receive a congratulatory email containing a link to their certificate of completion.

Credit will not be awarded for partial attendance.

Use of Client Information
in our CE Programs

Client information will not be disclosed by a presenter or, if disclosed by a participant during a live course, will not be published in an asynchronous course unless proper informed consent has been obtained from the client for use in that course. Instead, composites of real-life case examples or vignettes will be used in our courses to provide examples, facilitate role plays, or spark discussion while maintaining client confidentiality.

Enduring Materials

Nour Counseling & Consulting, PLLC commits to keeping all course content relevant and current. Asynchronous courses aged beyond 2 years will be reviewed and, if necessary, updated or deactivated.
